ONLINE 4X4 TRAINING
How does it works
INTRODUCTION
Modern Technology makes Online Training possible and although the concept is already in use for a long time, it is new to the 4x4 Industry. Online Training should not be a problem for the larger 4x4 community as most of us are very active and familiar with social media like online forums.
The new ONLINE 4x4 TRAINING program will be based on learning by watching video clips compiled to provide the same feeling of attending a theoretical class.
The plan is to release at least one video tutorial (lecture) every second week from January 2024 onwards until we have covered all learning.
ONLINE 4X4 TRAINING OPTIONS
1. FULL ACCESS TO ALL VIDEO CLIPS BUT NOT INTERESTED IN ANY CERTIFICATION (COSTS R350)
Enroll normally online but select the option FULL ACCESS ONLY. You will have access to all the training video clips. No certification or support are applicable just plain self learning. New techniques, new vehicles, new features will be part of off-roading as long as 4x4 off-road exists. This option is highly recommended for the 4x4 enthusiast, even if you have done courses before.
2. CERTIFICATION FOR THEORETICAL COURSE COMPLETED - see courses and cost below
a. 4x4 Knowledge - Theory only - R350.00
b. Recovery Knowledge - Theory only - R350.00
c. 4x4 + Recovery Knowledge - R500.00
All courses must be completed within 2 years. Prices are subject to change.
OPTIONAL PRACTICAL TRAINING AND ASSESSMENTS AFTER THEORY
Practical attendance is optional but highly recommended. Candidates who are attending the practical session will be certified accordingly.
1. Practical Training+Assessment 4x4 Basic Driving Skills - R1200.00 (bellville area)
2. Practical Training+Assessment 4x4 Advanced Driving Skills - R1500.00 (bellville area)
3. Practical Training+Assessment 4x4 Recovery Skills - R1200.00 (bellville area)
4. Practical Assessments without practical training (RPL option) - R850.00 (bellville area)

TRAINING MEDIUM
Initially, all the training video clips will be in AFRIKAANS. The ENGLISH version/track will follow sometime thereafter. The TRAINING MANUALS are available in ENGLISH ONLY.

Step5. - Download PDF Training Manuals and Training Video Clips to keep.
Step6. - Download and Submit the questionnaire linked to each video clip. Can be done in own time.
Step7. - Optional : If not already booked, enrol for the practical training and assessment.
Prospective candidates can start at any time after Feb 2024.

NOTE REGARDING SAQA OFF-ROAD UNIT STANDARDS
Our ONLINE TRAINING (and our INHOUSE TRAINING ) offers much more than what is covered in the outcomes of the off-road Unit Standards. We believe there are shortcomings in the off-road unit standards to consider it as complete courses. Apart from that, the unit standard prescribes the learning outcomes , but not any methods. It uses the phrase 'best practices' which could be different meanings for different training providers. Our courses provides the candidates the necessary knowledge and skills to experience 4x4 off-road with confidence.
ONLINE 4X4 TRAINING IS IDEAL FOR 4X4 CLUBS TO TRAIN THEIR MEMBERS
Most 4x4 clubs have very experience members to assist beginners, but does not normally have an official certification system to qualify members. ONLINE 4X4 TRAINING is the perfect opportunity and easy way out.
